An Ebony top , with sapwood down the middle.
How about a Limba / Ebony neck ? ( Ebony board )
Less uncommon is the Limba body.
The end result is a more aggressive sound, maybe a better slap or
rock bass.
I hate to make such generalizations, but I gotta say something , right ?

This is also a set neck design , with a 35" scale neck
The pickups are custom Haeussel Bassbars.
The preamp is a Noll 4 band , model TCM4XM.
I am a big fan of 4 band EQs.
You probably know that, right ?.
